Who wants to play the Basilica before the game’s official release? Sit back on the couch and go to the TTS website!
If we had to describe the Basilica in a few words, we would have to mention that at each turn, players place tiles to enlarge the cathedral and create areas of a single color while also placing pawns that represent builders on tiles in order to gain advantages.
I start explaining the rules of Basilica to Tony, and after 30 seconds, he already rolls his eyes. He heard those rules in dozen of various games. Put a tile on the table and put a worker on it to secure the area.
Essen Spiel ’22 is coming so today we want to present to you Basilica – an area control tile-laying game for two players.
Here it is Basilica! In this new edition of the classic 2-player game, both players work as architects trying to compete in overseeing the construction of a new cathedral.
If you are an area control tile-laying game fan and you usually pick the board games for two players, check out the Basilica!
Who came up with the thought of two architects designing the same basilica? That’s how it ends when you have a dispute with a bishop, but you don’t want to attack the Church… By the way, it turned into a small competition.
We’re excited to announce the publishing of a new revised edition of Basilica, a quick tile-laying game for 2 players set in medieval Florence. Basilica, designed by Łukasz M. Pogoda, was first published in 2010 and further developed by the expansion Festum Fatuorum in 2012.
