Mississippi army – the 10th faction to be added to Neuroshima Hex app by Portal Games

Portal Games is excited to announce that the Mississippi faction will be the next army to be added to its popular Neuroshima Hex App – a mobile adaptation of Neuroshima Hex, a fast-paced, tactical, combat tabletop game for 2 to 4 players (1 to 2 players in the app).

Mississippi faction, introduced by an expansion released in 2014, will be the 10th army available in the app in the extensive lineup of 21 factions in the board game. The new faction to be launched on December 16th, 2022, will be available for in-app purchases, whereas users who played it in the previous app version will be able to download it for free.

Mississippi is a defensive army that can poison the enemy HQ with venom. The Mississippi warriors wearing gas masks spread the deadliest diseases and spray the most toxic poisons. The faction is significantly resistant to attacks and can bypass the enemy’s defense. Its disadvantages are a low number of Warriors, low mobility, low toughness, and a complete lack of armor.

The Neuroshima Hex app is based on the highly acclaimed tabletop game Neuroshima Hex in which players engage in tense battles set in the post-apocalyptic world. The goal of the game is to destroy the enemy HQ by placing troops on the hexagonal game board and triggering their abilities. Each of the 4 factions in the base game (more factions available in the expansions) plays differently, having its own unique set of units with distinct abilities. The order they come to play and their placement on the board make each game play completely different, resulting in a high replay value. The tabletop game has already been published in 8 languages and enjoyed by fans worldwide. Throughout the years, Portal Games has been steadily developing the game, which now offers as many as 21 different playing factions.

Neuroshima Hex mobile app is available in iOS App and Google Play stores.

Welcome to PORTAL GAMES

We are bookworms. Movie maniacs. Story addicts. We grew up reading Tolkien, Howard, Herbert, Dick, Lem… We were watching Willow, Blade Runner, Never Ending Story, Robin Hood…

And yet, we don’t write books… we don’t make movies. We don’t make those things, because we make games. We make games that tell stories.
