Hello, hello,

Few more slavic, grim and depressing newsletters from me and you’ll all unsubscribe. I need to start making up stuff, write some playful stories from the office and tell you that everything is fine.
It’s really awesome. Last week, while I was doing demos of Bohemians at Leiriacon, Trump announced a 54% tariff on products originating from China. I came from Portugal and spent most of Tuesday recalculating the whole budget for the Race to Berlin campaign. All previous data and numbers gone into trash. We somehow got a plan on how to approach the campaign and the pricing, lowering our margin on the US market, and then, evening our time, Trump changed his mind and put 105% tariff on these products. So on Wednesday in our vlog I said that we are forced to cancel the campaign. We are unable to produce the game with that additional cost. The next day, on Thursday, Trump administration corrected the Trump tweet and announced that it’s actually a 125% tariff, as you must add the previous 20% to the new 105%. Orange is a new black, chaos is a new reality.
But worry not. I am a game designer. I deal everyday with controlling and managing randomness in my designs. This is my daytime job. What is the plan?
We will not offer shipping to the US, as this is impossible to do right now.
We focus on our European fans, Canadian fans and fans from other parts of the world.
But here at Portal Games, we don’t leave our fans behind. I talk to you, our loyal and awesome fan from the US.

If they don’t, well it doesn’t matter, as this mean, the whole US board game industry collapses anyway…
